On May 22nd, Montevive.AI was proud to sponsor once again the AiBirras event, held this time in the modern facilities of Oracle Malaga. With more than 70 attendees, this meeting exceeded all expectations, consolidating itself as a unique space where artificial intelligence and informal networking merged in a relaxed and productive environment.

An innovative and multicultural format
One of the most outstanding features of the event was its hybrid “Spanglish” format, where some presentations were given in English and others in Spanish. This decision not only reflected the international diversity of our technology community in Malaga, but also greatly enriched the conversations and exchange of ideas between professionals from different backgrounds.
The choice of this bilingual format created an inclusive and global environment, while maintaining the closeness and warmth that characterizes the Malaga tech community, allowing attendees to enjoy the best of both linguistic worlds in a technical context.
A first class menu of technological tapas
The AiBirras program stood out for the quality of its “technology caps”, concise and high-impact presentations:
Tapa 1: Develop Future Applications with Data and AI
Chef: Marta Tolosa
In this presentation, attendees discovered Oracle’s development platform specifically designed to help users address challenges with AI and achieve strong ROI from artificial intelligence initiatives and projects. Marta demonstrated how Oracle’s technology is positioning enterprises to maximize the value of their AI investments.
It was especially interesting to learn about all that Oracle offers through its OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure). Particularly noteworthy was its Code Assistant, a fascinating tool that allows to convert legacy Cobol code to modern Java, demonstrating how AI can help in the modernization of business critical systems.

Tapa 2: Implementation of Artificial Intelligence Systems in Industrial Environments
Chef: Diego Hueltes
Diego immersed us in an in-depth exploration of the implementation of AI systems in industrial environments, with a special focus on the state of adoption and trends in the Spanish industry. His talk ranged from production optimization and complex processes to advanced applications of computer vision through Deep Learning and the implementation of virtual sensors, offering practical and tangible examples.
The real use cases presented were truly inspiring, but perhaps most revealing was the lack of digitalization that still exists in many sectors. As Diego rightly pointed out, without a solid digital foundation, there is no AI. This reflection makes it clear that before implementing artificial intelligence, companies must secure their digital foundations.

Cover 3: Building an Autonomous Multi-Cloud Security Analyst
Chef: Toni de la Fuente
Toni addressed one of today’s biggest challenges: security in increasingly complex, distributed and dynamic cloud environments. His presentation explored the design and implementation of an autonomic AI-driven security analyst for multi-cloud ecosystems. Based on real-world experience with Prowler Open Source, Toni demonstrated the integration of threat detection, compliance automation and contextual decision making in AWS, Azure, GCP and Kubernetes.
The presentation was absolutely amazing, showing the full potential of Prowler and, even better, being completely open source. The community is especially excited to try out their upcoming MCP (Model Context Protocol), which promises to revolutionize the way we interact with cloud security tools.

A community united by innovation
The event was attended by multiple local technology communities: Malaga TechPark, Malaga-AI, MLG Hub and the special participation of Demófilo Peláez Agudo, who conducted memorable interviews during the event. Also noteworthy was the presence of a delegation of VIPs from Granada: R. Javier Sacristán Fresneda, Alberto Donaire Ávila and José Carlos Gómez Alarcón.
The power of informal networking
Perhaps one of the most valuable aspects of the event was the networking session following the presentations. With a beer in hand, attendees were able to deepen technical conversations, explore potential collaborations and share experiences in a relaxed environment. This format demonstrates that some of the most valuable connections in the professional arena arise precisely in these more relaxed contexts.

Special recognition
From Montevive.AI we want to recognize the extraordinary work of the Oracle Malaga team, with Dana Daboosh at the head, along with Patrick Agreiter, Guido Boulogne, Sofia Schneider and all those who made this event possible. Their commitment to the technology community in Malaga and their ability to create spaces for knowledge exchange are an example to follow.
The future of AiBirras
As recurring sponsors of AiBirras, Montevive.AI remains committed to initiatives that foster knowledge sharing and professional networking in the field of AI. The AiBirras format has proven to be a successful formula for combining high-level technical knowledge with a relaxed atmosphere that fosters professional connections.
We are convinced that this type of event contributes significantly to the strengthening of the artificial intelligence ecosystem in our region and we look forward to the next edition.
See you at the next AiBirras!
