We launched Nazareno.chat, the innovative smart assistant for Holy Week.

Innovation and a passion for challenges are among our core values. Bringing the cutting edge of Artificial Intelligence to everyone is our mission. We'll tell you how we revolutionized Granada's Holy Week with the first intelligent assistant specialized in processions and Brotherhoods.
Motivation: Knowing the Real-Time Location of Processions
Holy Week in Granada is in the city's DNA. It is a major cultural, religious, and tourist event that positively impacts the city, its citizens, and visitors.
Granada is internationally known for the Alhambra, one of Spain's most visited monuments. But also for its University and its leadership in the development of Artificial Intelligence, primarily in the area of machine learning.
From the Montevive AI team, we saw a great opportunity to put all the potential and revolution brought by generative AI at the service of citizens and visitors, providing them with a powerful tool to know all the details of Granada's Holy Week.
We wanted to answer common questions like: Where are the processions going?, Which processions pass by where I am?, etc.
Artificial Intelligence at the Service of an Ancient and Deep-Rooted Tradition
We have been working with generative AI, agents, RAG systems... for a long time, and we wanted to showcase its value with a chatbot serving the entire citizenry.
We are advocates that technology is not the end, only the means. It is the means to improve the quality of life for all citizens.
When we refer to "all," we think of all kinds of people, with any degree of functional diversity. Accessibility is a feature that any application or system considered intelligent must meet.
For this reason, and knowing the work done by the association La Ciudad Accesible to ensure Holy Week can be enjoyed by everyone, we contacted them to share our happy idea.
That's how "nazareno.chat" was born.

A Multi-Platform Chatbot
From the very beginning, it was clear to us that the chatbot had to be multi-platform.
We work and have a lot of know-how with Telegram, so it was clear that would be the first platform. Among Telegram's advantages, we highlight the ease of creating chatbots and that it has no cost.

The next was WhatsApp, the most bureaucratically complex and expensive. It's necessary to have a WhatsApp for Business account, and the costs per conversation are several cents (€0.03-0.05).
Finally, and to offer a 100% customizable experience, we opted to create our own PWA with React.
Main Features
Among all the features of nazareno.chat, we highlight the following:
- Real-time Information: Constant updates on the start of processions, route changes, and safety recommendations.
- Personalized Interaction: Immediate responses to specific questions about Holy Week events, allowing users to optimally plan their experience.
- Cultural and Religious Guide: Detailed information on the meaning and history behind each procession, offering a richer and more educational experience. For this, the Accessible Holy Week Guide of Granada 2024 was processed and that knowledge was incorporated into the chatbot.
- Information on Weather and Other Services: Weather is a key factor in determining whether processions go out or not. The chatbot has access to real-time forecasts for the coming hours and days. It also provides information on taxi stands and urban bus information and wait times.
- Multi-language: Responds in the user's language. Very important for accessibility by foreign visitors.

Presentation at the Granada City Hall
Last Thursday, March 21st, Nazareno.chat was presented at the Granada City Hall. The mayor, Marifran Carazo, along with the councilor for social policy, family, disability, and the elderly, Amparo Arrabal, presented both the 8th Accessible Holy Week Guide and Nazareno.chat.

Acknowledgments
From montevive.ai/ we first want to thank La Ciudad Accesible for joining the project just by hearing the brief idea.
Of course, to the Royal Federation of Brotherhoods and Fraternities of Granada for facilitating access to information, to the Honorable Granada City Council for embracing the initiative, and to Wiber and ALSA for collaborating with us by providing internet access and information.
This Has Just Begun
Nazareno.chat was developed in record time, just 3 weeks. Although we are preparing another post where we will do a post-mortem analysis and go into technical details, we can reveal that we are already thinking of ideas for Holy Week 2025. Many ideas were left out for this edition and we are excited to work on them calmly throughout this year.
Stay tuned so you don't miss how artificial intelligence makes our lives easier and more accessible. We continue!
