Article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 has required since 2 February 2025 that anyone using AI on the organisation's behalf has a sufficient level of training. Almost no company can evidence it today, and an internal memo does not count: what is asked for is a register of names, contents and dates an auditor can check.
- 01Role-based paths. Leadership, people handling customer data and developers do not need the same training: each role gets what its actual use of AI requires.
- 02A named register with a verifiable certificate. Who was trained, on what and when, with a serial-numbered certificate that can be checked from outside.
- 03Contents kept current with the regulation, including the 2026 reform, which delayed only the high-risk obligations and left Article 4 on its original schedule.
It fits step 03 of the AI Ready Method and covers criterion 02 of the Seal. What it is not: a generic ChatGPT course. The point is not teaching prompt writing, it is producing the literacy evidence the regulation requires and that is missing from almost every file.
