Last February 21 took place in the Breaker space of UGR Emprendedora a very innovative workshop.
Taught by our colleague Chema, during 4 hours, in the AI workshop for entrepreneurs, attendees were able to discover how the latest AI solutions can help to significantly improve the productivity of entrepreneurs.
A very practical workshop
The main objective of the workshop was for entrepreneurs and attendees to discover the great advances in generative Artificial Intelligence and how it can positively impact their daily lives as entrepreneurs.
They also learned, in a way that anyone could understand, how the magic of AI works.
Workshop content
The workshop was divided into two blocks: a first introductory block to AI and generative AI with ChatGPT, and another where we saw from how to squeeze ChatGPT plus to how to use AI to perform amazing automations outside ChatGPT.
AI, ChatGPT and the art of prompt engineering
Although the objective of the workshop was to put AI at the service of entrepreneurs, it was important to provide entrepreneurs and other attendees with the basic concepts and history of artificial intelligence that has allowed us to get this far.
I explained what“transformers” have to do with all this generative AI stuff. The most used and important types of LLMs today. How they train and why size matters here.
Of course, we opened a session in ChatGPT 3.5, and we were looking at the noble art of prompt engineering, or in English, “how to whisper to the AI” to achieve our purpose.
Here it was important to give a glimpse of all that models such as GPT-3.5 can bring to the table. As in many occasions, we are the limit.
And as it could not be otherwise, it was time to do a series of exercises to start mastering the prompts.
ChatGPT Plus…and beyond!
It is time to go a step further and explain the box of surprises that is GPT-4 after ChatGPT Plus.
We saw how it analyzed PDFs, generated questions and summaries, or even made us a calendar of publications on Instagram to promote an event.
We also saw the “app store” of GPTs, with an infinite number of useful GPTs for productivity, creativity or even leisure tasks.
But there is more life outside ChatGPT, in fact, ChatGPT is just the tip of the iceberg.
I explained what an API is and how the OpenAI API (the company behind OpenAI), allows us to have AI in any development or application of our own.
I showed two clear examples: Montevive’s own AI newsletter that is managed 100% from Telegram, and the RAG(Retrieve Augmented Generation) system itself for UGR Emprendedora, which knows in detail everything that moves around there.
Upcoming editions
We were pleased to see that the 4-hour workshop flew by and that the attendees were left wanting more.
There was talk of a second AI workshop and another to learn how to build chatbots.
Time is the most precious resource we have, and that all the attendees left happy and grateful… is our greatest satisfaction.
